John Megaw and Meredith Greene bought a home at 5030 Tibbett Ave. in Riverdale from Etsuko Abe for $850,000 on Sept. 2.

The 3,228-square-foot house was built in 1925 in Riverdale/North Riverdale/Fieldston neighborhood.

Mrs. Megaw is the communications director of The Committee to protect Journalists (CPJ), a non-profit organization, headquartered in New York City and founded in 1981. Prior to this, she served as producer for more than 15 years with ABC and NBC.

She graduated from Harvard University and earned a degree in English from Smith College.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 135 sales in Riverdale/North Riverdale/Fieldston in 2008, with a median price of $275,000.
