Speech pathologist buys in City Island

Eileen McGonagal and Lawrence McGonegal bought a 1,408-square-foot home at 80 Earley St. in City Island from Evelyn Guess and Carol E. Mckenna for $542,500 on Sept. 1.

The 1,408-square-foot home was built in 1925.

Ms. McGonegal is a speech language pathologist with the New York City Department of Education. She has a B.A. in communications and marketing from Manhattan College and an M.A. in speech language pathology from New York University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 88 home sales in Pelham Bay/Country Club/City Island in 2008, with median sales price of $425,000.
